Hessenthaler seeks change in fortune

Gillingham manager Andy Hessenthaler remains optimistic his side will soon start moving up the League Two table. The Gills earned a point at in-from Port Vale at the weekend and Hessenthaler was full of praise for his side. "The boys were a credit to the club. If we keep putting in a shift like that then we'll start creeping up the table and be in the position we want to be by Christmas and really go for it," he told Kent Online. "We've worked hard since the Accrington game on the training ground. The players were wounded and very hurt after that. "There's a togetherness in the changing room and there are players who want to do well for the football club. When I came back that was what I demanded."
