Hess: We can prove doubters wrong
Gillingham boss Andy Hessenthaler is aiming to prove his critics wrong on Saturday by guiding his team into the npower League Two play-offs.
The Gills go into the clash against top-of-the-table Chesterfield knowing even a win might not be enough to for his side to break into the top seven if Stevenage and Torquay win, but Hessenthaler has not given up hope.
"I would love to prove people wrong," the Gills manager told Kent Online.
"We proved people wrong earlier on in the season when things weren't happening for us. Can we prove people wrong again? Everyone will be writing us off but you never know.
"We want to get promoted and some people think we won't do that now but we still have a shout and we are not out of it.
"We know what we have to do. Can we do it? I believe we can."
