Hess hampered by injury troubles

Gillingham's injury woes are continuing to cause boss Andy Hessenthaler a headache ahead of the transfer deadline. Hessenthaler was believed to be keen on off-loading a number of players in order to trim the club's wage bill. However, a run of injuries has left him with just 17 fit players available to face Hereford on Saturday. "I can't see anything being done during the transfer window, not with the amount of injuries we've got, we can't afford to do that," the Gills boss told Kent Online. "I wouldn't have thought anything would happen in the window at the moment. "If anything, it would probably be when the window opens for loans. There might be a few young boys we move out just to get games. We need to keep everyone fit and they need to play."
