Hess could call on Kennedy

Gillingham boss Andy Hessenthaler has praised Callum Kennedy and revealed the left-back is still in his thoughts, despite his loan deal with the club expiring. The 21-year-old played an important part for the Gills as they won their first away game of the season at Oxford and then repeated the feat three days later at Barnet before a hamstring problem kept him out for the remainder of his month-long spell. Hessenthaler told the club`s official website: "I had a chat with Callum and I know he enjoyed his time here. "He was tremendous for us and maybe he is an option that we can re-visit at the end of the season. "Fortunately for us we have John Nutter back from suspension and Danny Jackman can also cover that position." Meanwhile, Simon King, Andy Barcham, Garry Richards, Dennis Oli and Curtis Weston will have to wait for a return to action as the behind-closed-doors friendly against Colchester has fallen victim to the freezing weather conditions.
