Hendon wants return to winning ways

Assistant manager Ian Hendon called for Gillingham to start turning draws into wins after watching his side falter to their third consecutive draw, a 1-1 stalemate at Aldershot. Danny Hylton put the Shots in front but John Nutter levelled the scores just eight minutes from time to secure his side's fifth draw in six league games, leaving the Gills occupying the last play-off place. Hendon said: "It's a sign of how far we've come that we are disappointed to come away with a draw, but at least we improved after half-time. The first-half performance left a lot to be desired and in the second half we started to get on the front foot and control things a bit more. "At the very least we've got a point and it was a great strike from John but we need to start turning some of these draws into wins. "We said at the start of the season we wanted to make the play-offs, there are a lot of good sides up at the top so we it's important to go on a little run now and avoid any slip-ups. "It's all very well remaining unbeaten and I hope we can keep up this momentum that we've created, but we'll go home this weekend and hope for all three points."
