Gills send for Savage

Gillingham have signed striker Bas Savage on a contract running until Christmas.
The 24-year-old was without a club after being released by Bristol City in the summer, but Gills boss Ronnie Jepson is confident he will prove a useful addition to his squad.
"Bas Savage will be part of the squad on Saturday. He is training with us and we have given him a short contract," Jepson told the club's official website.
"We cannot sign players from other clubs at this moment in time. Bas is a good lad, is with us until Christmas and nobody can lose out.
"We can have a look at him, he can have a look at us and we'll take it from there. With the size of the squad, an extra body does not go amiss."
Savage began his career at Walton & Hersham before joining Reading in a £20,000 deal in 2002.
He failed to make the grade at the Madejski Stadium and started just six League games before being released in the summer of 2005 and returning to Walton & Hersham.
Savage was given a second chance in professional football when he joined Bristol City in November 2005, but scored just once in 23 League One outings last term.
