Gills secure Mills extension

Gillingham have secured a loan extension until January to keep Leigh Mills at the Priestfield.

The 20-year-old Tottenham defender initially joined the Gills on a one-month loan deal.

"That's how much I rate him," manager Mark Stimson told the Kent Messenger.

"He's trained all week so if he doesn't pick anything up he's got a great chance of starting (at Darlington on Saturday)."
