Gills release seven from contracts

Veteran midfielder Nicky Southall, striker Gary Mulligan, former captain Andrew Crofts and full-back Sean Clohessy head the casualties at Priestfield, while first-year pros Charlie Howard, Chris Kiely and Tayler Thomas are also leaving the club. But goalkeeper Simon Royce, left-back John Nutter and young striker Andy Pugh have all been offered new deals while forward Luis Cumbers and defender Tom Wynter have had options for a further year on their contracts taken up. Forward Andy Barcham - runner-up at the player of the year awards - is set to hold talks with Stimson soon over his future, while winger Albert Jarrett has not has his contract extended but has been invited back for pre-season training in a bid to earn a new deal.
