Gillingham boss Ronnie Jepson has revealed that the Priestfield club have refused him permission to speak to Huddersfield Town over their managerial vacancy.
The Terriers have made known their desire to speak to Jepson, as they seek a replacement for the axed Peter Jackson.
However, Jepson said after his side's 1-0 win over Crewe Alexandra: "I spoke to the chairman on Saturday morning and he doesn't want to give them permission to speak to me.
"So as far as I'm concerned I'm the Gillingham football manager and I haven't got any problem with that."
Jepson spent five years as a player with Huddersfield between 1993 and 1998, scoring 36 goals in 107 league outings.
