Gills' Miller wins card appeal

Wednesday Jan 16 2008 13:26

Gillingham have won an appeal to have a red card shown to Adam Miller rescinded by a Football Association disciplinary panel.

Miller was sent off in the last minute of Saturday's 3-1 victory at Huddersfield Town by referee Dave Foster for an alleged dangerous tackle.

However after reviewing the incident, the panel has now overturned the decision and Miller is free to play against Northampton Town on Saturday.

"It is fantastic news as I can now play Saturday," Miller told the club's official website.

"I am not a malicious player and I would never look to hurt an opponent.

"I thank the panel for overturning the decision and I am already buzzing and looking forward to Northampton."
