Gillingham have completed the protracted signing of veteran goalkeeper Simon Royce.
The 35-year-old has been training with the Gills following his release by QPR at the end of last season and will challenge recent signing Derek Stillie for a regular starting spot.
Boss Ronnie Jepson told the official club website: "Simon's a highly experienced keeper and I'm delighted to bring him to the club on a permanent basis.
"He did a good job for us in his loan spell last season and I'm sure he will prove a great acquisition."
Royce made three appearances for the club at the end of last term and has now played in 267 league games for his nine teams in a 16-year professional career.
