Gills boss set to ring the changes

Stimson made six changes for Tuesday's Johnstone's Paint Trophy first-round tie with Colchester, which the Gills won via a penalty shoot-out after the game ended 1-1 after 90 minutes. Top scorer Simeon Jackson came off the bench to score from the spot and in the shoot-out and will definitely be restored to the starting line-up. Curtis Weston and Mark Bentley should join Jackson in returning while Stimson must decide whether to recall Simon Royce between the sticks or keep faith with Alan Julian. Left-back John Nutter missed out against Colchester through illness and is doubtful, so Chris Palmer could again deputise.
