Gills boss asks for time

Gillingham boss Ronnie Jepson has urged fans to be patient with his inconsistent side.

The Gills were on the wrong end of a 4-3 scoreline at Crewe last weekend, but Jepson has called for patience as he looks to build a squad capable of winning promotion back to the Championship.

"We'll keep working on it and hopefully introduce one or two more players that give us a bit more strength in depth, which we need," he admitted.

"We are working extremely hard behind the scenes to bring in extra money that enables us to strengthen and improve

"I just hope the supporters can stick with us. They know how difficult things are at this moment in time."
