Gills aim to keep Jackson
16 Dec 2008 - 12:56:36
Gillingham manager Mark Stimson has warned potential suitors that it will take a massive bid to prise striker Simeon Jackson away from the Priestfield Stadium.
Jackson, 21, has found the net ten times this season and has been linked with a move to a higher division club.
The Canada international joined the Gills from Rushden & Diamonds in January and Stimson is hoping to keep him at the Kent club.
"He's an international, 21 years of age, and he's got everything in front of him," said Stimson.
"The chairman might have a different view, but personally I wouldn't take a million pounds for him.
"He's got at least another ten goals in him between now and the end of the season and there aren't many players out there who can guarantee you that."
