Gills accept Fuller's red card

Gillingham manager Mark Stimson has decided not to appeal against Barry Fuller's dismissal in the 1-1 draw against Brentford.

The Gills captain will serve a three-match ban, including the FA Cup third round clash with Aston Villa, after being shown a straight red card for a late foul on Sam Wood .

"We've just looked at it and we won't be appealing Barry's red card," confirmed Stimson. "It looks worse than we first thought. He's distraught but we'll all learn from it.

"The second-half performance was better and, if it wasn't for a great performance by their goalkeeper, we could've come away with three points."
