Gills can surprise people - Stimson

Stimson's charges made a dramatic return to League One last May as Jackson scored an injury-time winner in the play-off final against Shrewsbury at Wembley. And despite watching the same player - who was linked with a big-money move to Leicester this summer - destroy Swindon with an opening day hat-trick, Stimson urged caution. He said: "All us managers get heated up about the first game of the season and put more importance on it then it probably deserves. There are still 45 games left and if we had lost then I wouldn't have panicked. "But having said that I am very happy with the 5-0 win, it couldn't go much better than that, especially when your top scorer gets a hat-trick. We had four first-team players missing but everyone who came in was very impressive and hopefully this will keep all the players on their toes. "If we can keep everyone fit and injury-free then hopefully we will stay up this season, enjoy ourselves and surprise a few people."
