Gills boss denies negative plan

Mark McCammon just failed to hand the visitors the lead in the opening seconds, but after that the hosts had the best of it with Tom Craddock hitting a post and Gillingham hanging on for a share of the spoils. Luton boss Mick Harford felt the Gills "tried to run the clock down from the first minute", adding: "For a side that's in the top six I find that bizarre - it's the first time I've seen that." But Stimson said: "No, we didn't come for a point, we came looking for three but the conditions weren't the best. "It was a game of two halves and by that I mean there was a strong wind blowing one way and we did well to come in 0-0 at half-time. We tried to put them under pressure in the second half and had a couple of chances but didn't take them so, given the conditions, we're happy with the point. "In any game you always go looking for three points and if you can't get three you try and get the next best thing - and that's what we did."
