Gillingham V Chesterfield at MEMS Priestfield Stadium : Match Preview
Lee worry for GillsCharlie Lee is Gillingham's only injury concern for the visit of managerless Chesterfield. The midfielder was forced off after only 10 minutes of Tuesday's 2-0 Capital One Cup defeat to Middlesbrough nursing a bruised thigh.Lee will be assessed as late as possible as the Gills look to get back to winning ways following their first setback of the season. The Kent outfit have taken maximum points from their three league fixtures to date and manager Martin Allen will be looking for a swift response against the Spireites.Allen made four changes for the midweek cup tie and Andy Frampton, Chris Whelpdale, Lewis Montrose and Myles Weston will all be hoping for recalls, as will Tom Flanagan after he missed last weekend's 2-1 win at Dagenham through suspension.Neal Trotman is a major doubt for Chesterfield.Trotman is nursing a knee injury and a late decision will be made on his fitness. Should Trotman miss out, Terrell Forbes would switch from right-back to central defence with Drew Talbot slotting in at full-back, despite his good early-season form in his best position on the right wing.Chesterfield are still looking for their first win of the season following last weekend's home draw with local rivals Rotherham, which proved to be John Sheridan's final match as manager.Tommy Wright, Sheridan's assistant, and goalkeeping coach Mark Crossley will take charge of the team at Priestfield. The duo have the likes of Liam Ridehalgh, Mark Randall, Craig Clay, Jack Lester and Scott Boden available should they wish to make any changes to the starting XI.
