Gillingham's Adam Birchall thanks supporters

Adam Birchall said he is indebted to Gillingham's players and fans for their support following his knee injury.The 26-year-old, who damaged his cruciate ligament during a pre-season game against Welling, is expected to be out until the new year. He told BBC Radio Kent: "I've had so many lovely messages from people who are just as frustrated as myself. "The next day on my phone I had a lot of text messages and calls from the boys.
