Daniels set for Gills bow

Loan signing Donervon Daniels is in contention to make his Gillingham debut at home to Stevenage.

The centre-back arrived from West Brom on Monday on a deal until the new year and is available against Boro as the Gills aim to overcome back-to-back defeats and put a bit of distance between themselves and the bottom three.

Midfielder Charlie Lee missed Saturday's 1-0 home defeat to Oldham due to illness but hopes to recover in time for the encounter.

Steven Gregory again misses out due to a thigh injury while Amine Linganzi (calf) also remains on the sidelines.

Stevenage will be without midfielder Jimmy Smith.

The 26-year-old regular will serve a one-match suspension following Saturday's dismissal at Peterborough and boss Graham Westley could call upon Sam Wedgbury or Greg Tansey as his replacement.

Goalkeeper Chris Day and defender Jon Ashton both recovered from knocks in time to start at the weekend and should keep their places as Boro look to make it back-to-back away wins for the first time since August 2012.

Ben Chorley (calf) could return to the squad but Darius Charles (ankle) is unlikely to feature as he continues his recovery.
