Striker Danny Kedwell is set to be involved when Gillingham host already-relegated Shrewsbury on the final day of their Sky Bet League One campaign.

Kedwell (knee) has only featured once since mid-January, a 20-minute cameo against Tranmere a couple of weeks ago, but boss Peter Taylor plans to play him in the season finale.

Taylor was targeted by sections of the Gills support during last weekend's 3-1 defeat at Preston and will be determined to silence the boo boys with victory over the Shrews.

The experienced manager could hand starts to Adebayo Akinfenwa and Myles Weston in Gillingham's first match since securing another season in League One.

Mike Jackson is set to give youth a chance when Shrewsbury end their League One stay.

Last weekend's 4-2 home defeat to Peterborough confirmed Shrewsbury's relegation, ending their two-year spell in the third tier.

Jackson has named winger Josh Ginnelly, defender Dom Smith and midfielder Niall Flint as three possible inclusions in his squad for Saturday.

David McAllister (ankle) remains sidelined but Jermaine Grandison could start after returning from a hamstring problem as a substitute against Posh.
