Gillingham set to monitor several players ahead of Rochdale clash

Gillingham will monitor several players carrying injury worries ahead of the visit of Rochdale.

Forward Frank Nouble came off the bench for the closing stages of the 1-0 defeat at Oxford on Tuesday night following his return from a hamstring problem, so could be in contention to start.

Australian right-back Chris Herd was an unused substitute, but could be recalled to the side after missing last weekend's win at Walsall because of an ankle injury.

Defender Bradley Garmston has been out with a hamstring injury, so will be assessed along with Ryan Jackson, who had been troubled by a groin problem.

Midfielder Lee Martin (ankle) and defender Aaron Morris (knee) continue their recoveries, along with goalkeeper Jonathan Bond (groin).

Rochdale welcome back striker Joe Bunney from a one-match suspension.

The 23-year-old sat out the 4-0 win over Walsall in midweek after collecting five yellow cards.

Dale will hope Keith Keane is fit after he also missed the Walsall victory with a knock while Calvin Andrew serves the seventh of his 12-game suspension.

Dale have been battling significant injury problems, with Brian Barry-Murphy, Jamie Allen and Peter Vincenti all sidelined, but have nevertheless been in fine form, scoring 10 goals without reply in their last three games.
