Martin back for Gills

Gillingham hope to welcome back Joe Martin for the visit of Oldham.

Left-back Martin has missed the Gills' last two matches with a calf problem but should be in contention.

However, fellow defender Josh Hare is ruled out after suffering a knee ligament injury playing for the reserves which will keep him out for the season.

Callum Davies (ankle), Aaron Millbank (knee), and Jack Sellens (leg) are also not expected appear again this term while Amine Linganzi and Aaron Morris (both hamstring) are set to miss out again.

Oldham's top scorer Jonathan Forte will be monitored in the build up to kick-off.

The 13-goal striker missed last weekend's game against Fleetwood due to a groin strain and Latics may have to use the new-look strikeforce of Danny Philliskirk and Amari Morgan-Smith again after former loanee Jabo Ibehre returned to Colchester.

Brian Wilson was forced off in the latter stages of the 2-0 success at Highbury due to injury and is also doubtful, although the fact Tuesday's game against Rochdale was postponed will work in the defender's favour.

Left-back Joseph Mills remains suspended so Connor Brown looks set to continue in the defence, while midfielder Jacob Mellis could make his debut after arriving on loan from Blackpool on Thursday.
