Injuries a concern for Gills boss

Gillingham boss Peter Taylor will assess his lengthy injury list ahead of the game against Coventry.

Chris Whelpdale (ankle), Ryan Inniss and Michael Harriman (both hamstring) all missed Saturday's 1-0 win over Crawley and are not expected to recover in time to feature on Tuesday.

Striker Danny Kedwell (knee) will be unavailable for three weeks after he suffered a setback despite recovering from a hernia operation.

Striker Adam Birchall made his first Gills appearance in more than a year at the weekend but is likely to have to make do with a similar role as he continues to work on his match fitness.

Coventry are expected to welcome back Carl Baker for the trip.

The Sky Blues skipper has missed the last two games with a calf problem but is likely to train ahead of Tuesday's League One clash.

Loanee Chuba Akpom will not feature, though, after he returned to parent-club Arsenal for an FA Youth Cup match and Nathan Delfouneso is expected to come in as the youngster's replacement.

Frank Moussa made his comeback from a groin injury at the weekend to make a 35-minute appearance off the bench and could be more heavily involved as boss Steven Pressley looks to end a run of three consecutive away defeats.
