Doug Loft in line for Gills recall

Gillingham captain Doug Loft could return to the starting line-up for their Sky Bet League One clash against Bradford.

Loft came off the bench in the second half of their 1-0 win over Colchester and looks set to start for Justin Edinburgh's side.

Forward Luke Norris is also in contention after a trio of substitute appearances since recovering from a side strain.

The Gills will seek to win their fourth consecutive league game.

Bradford's teenage centre-half Reece Burke is expected to make his final appearance before returning to parent club West Ham.

Burke's loan spell runs until January 2 and boss Phil Parkinson faces a fight to keep him following interest from a Championship club.

Parkinson, who named an unchanged starting line-up for Monday's defeat at Sheffield United, has no major new injury concerns but could be tempted to rest one or two players.

Left-back James Meredith, midfielder Billy Knott and striker Devante Cole all stepped off the bench at Bramall Lane and are pushing for recalls.
