Gills at full strength

Gillingham are likely to be at full strength for their Boxing Day test at home to Barnet.

Midfielder Chris Whelpdale was in contention to return to the Gills squad against York on Saturday after two games out with a groin problem, only to see the clash postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.

That has given him further time to ensure he is ready for the run of festive fixtures.

Manager Martin Allen is not expected to have any other injury or suspension concerns for the 1pm kick-off as his table-topping side aim to stretch their five-point gap at the top of League Two.

Allen will be aware, however, that several players are only one booking away from an automatic one-match ban.

Matt Fish, Joe Martin, Lewis Montrose, Jack Payne, Charlie Allen and Charlie Lee have all been booked four times this term.

Barnet will assess Clovis Kamdjo ahead of the trip.

The midfielder was replaced at half-time on Friday night after picking up a knock as the Bees ended a run of six league games without a win by beating Burton 3-2.

Kamdjo was replaced by Jon Oster, who made his first appearance since suffering a calf injury in October. He will now be looking for a starting role if Kamdjo does not recover.

Striker Collins John is still sidelined after undergoing hernia surgery last week.

Ishmail Kamara is still recovering from a shoulder operation and fellow striker Steve Kabba remains sidelined by a knee problem.

Ricky Holmes will continue in attack after scoring the first hat-trick for the club in Friday's victory.
