Gillingham v Aldershot Town Live

Boss waits on trio Gillingham boss Andy Hessenthaler is waiting on the fitness of Danny Spiller, Andy Barcham and leading goalscorer Cody McDonald ahead of the home clash with Aldershot. Midfielder Spiller played 80 minutes of the 2-0 defeat to league leaders Chesterfield but is struggling with a hand injury, while striker Barcham missed the game with an ankle problem and remains doubtful. Fellow forward McDonald, who has scored 12 league goals in 21 appearances so far this season, missed training on Thursday through illness and is a doubt to face the Shots, although the trio will all be given as much time as possible to declare their fitness. However, only long-term absentee Simon King remains unavailable as he continues to struggle from the ongoing ankle injury that has hampered him for the past 18 months. Aldershot manager Dean Holdsworth has new signing Alex Rodman at his disposal for the trip. Forward Rodman impressed Holdsworth while playing for Tamworth when he was managing Newport County in the Blue Square Bet Premier, and is available to make his debut at Priestfield. Holdsworth has no new injury or suspension worries after midfielder Jermaine McGlashan recovered from a leg problem and was passed fit. Winger Glen Little has been released to seek regular first-team football while recent signings Tim Sills, Peter Vincenti and Simon Grand will be in the Shots squad again as they look to extend their three-match unbeaten run. Striker Damian Spencer (knee ligament damage) and midfielder John Halls (groin) remain sidelined.
