Dickson unhappy with proposed deal
Dickson, who scored 11 goals in 14 appearances during an impressive loan spell at the Priestfield Stadium in 2007, has yet to feature for the Addicks this season and had been allowed to leave on loan.
But Parkinson told the Kent Messenger: "We were prepared to let him join Gillingham for 28 days but Chris wasn't happy with that.
"I then told him he could join Gillingham for three months with us having a call-back on him after 28 days.
"He still wasn't happy with that so he's staying. But Chris now has the opportunity to go out on loan in seven days' time."
