Crofts placed on Gills list

Gillingham have placed out-of-favour former skipper Andrew Crofts on the transfer list at the Priestfield.

Crofts, 24, is a product of the club's youth system but has fallen down the pecking order in recent weeks.

Manager Mark Stimson has preferred the central midfield partnership of Mark Bentley and Curtis Weston.

"Crofts' name is to be circulated to Championship and League One teams with a view to arranging a loan move or permanent transfer," read a club statement.
