Jason Brown could be fit enough to play in Gillingham's Nationwide Division One clash with high-flying West Brom on Saturday.
The 21-year-old keeper injured his ankle during last Saturday's draw with Rotherham United and missed Monday's defeat at Walsall.
However, physio George Johnson believes the Welsh Under-21 international may have recovered in time for the Priestfield clash.
"Jason Brown jarred his ankle against Rotherham which stretched some tendons on the inside of his ankle," Johnson told the club's official website.
"We were a bit worried to start with but they have settled down nicely and Jason has got half a chance for Saturday."
