Gillingham winger Tyrone Berry is hoping to impress enough in the coming weeks to earn a long-term stay at Priestfield.
The 21-year-old has made four appearances for the Gills so far this season and has been handed a second month to try and become a regular in Mark Stimson's plans.
He told the Kent Messenger: "There is a bit of pressure, but it is pressure that you have to thrive on.
"To get better and to get the most out of yourself you have to perform under pressure and that's what I hope to do.
"I believe in my ability and I believe that if I do well I will get something.
"The manager just told me to carry on doing what I'm doing and hopefully, if I carry on, he'll be able to give me a longer-term deal."
