Bentley eyes further Us stay

Gillingham midfielder Mark Bentley says he would consider extending his loan spell with Cambridge. The 33-year-old has started four matches for the Us and has three games left until his loan deal at the Abbey expires. But Bentley is eager to continue playing and would rather stay with Jez George's Blue Square Bet Premier side than return to the Gills' substitutes` bench. "It's whoever's going to offer me football, at my time in my career I don't want to be sitting on the bench," he told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire. "If Cambridge can offer me football then great, if things can be extended I'll be keen to listen." "I've got three more games and I'll give my all for Cambridge like I have done over the last four games."
