Andy Barcham will miss Gillingham's trip to Bury with an ankle injury. Barcham was left on crutches after sustaining the knock during the midweek Johnstone's Paint Trophy defeat to Southend, which the Gills lost on penalties following a 0-0 draw. The former Leyton Orient forward was nursing a calf injury ahead of the tie and is expected to be sidelined for two weeks by this latest setback. Boss Andy Hessenthaler could also be without the services Cody McDonald. On-loan Norwich striker McDonald was substituted during the second half at Roots Hall, also due to an ankle problem, and did not train on Thursday "Cody is struggling a bit," Hessenthaler told Gillingham's official website. "I would say he will travel but at this stage he would only be 50/50."
