Aborah shipped out
Gillingham have released midfielder Stanley Aborah from his short-term contract.
The 23-year-old Belgian, who previously played for Ajax in the UEFA Champions League, was on a month-to month contract after impressing at the Priestfield during a successful trial period in the summer.
Aborah struggled with fitness during the early part of the season and ended up playing only 13 minutes for the first-team, appearing as a second-half substitute in the 1-0 away defeat at Bradford on September 18.
The creative player is the first victim of Andy Hessenthaler's proposed shake-up of the team following the humiliating 7-4 loss to Accrington on Saturday, with the Gills boss prioritising strengthening his defence.
