The magic of the FA Cup was shown last night after Brackley Town reached the second round for the first time in their history after beating Gillingham in the first round replay. Gillingham midfielder Bradley Dack scored injury time equaliser in the reverse of the fixture just over 1 week ago to earn the replay, but there was no mistake this time from the Conference North side and dumped the League One side out of the cup.

The Conference North side who narrowly missed out on promotion last year took the lead when Glenn Walker hit a wonderful volley which beat keeper Stuart Nelson. Gillingham had 61% possession and clocked up 23 shots in their attempt to beat Brackley, but were unsuccessful. They also hit the woodwork twice late on but Brackley were able to Hang on for the win.

They will now play Macclesfield away in round two.
