Substitute Jordan Ayew scored a hat-trick as Ghana continued their World Cup preparations with a 4-0 victory over South Korea in Miami on Monday.

Marseille striker Ayew replaced the injured Abdul Majeed Waris after just six minutes, and broke the deadlock within 10 minutes of his arrival. Asamoah Gyan doubled the Black Stars' advantage a minute before half-time.

Ayew put the result beyond doubt with a third goal eight minutes into the second half, and then sealed his treble a minute from time.

Ghana open their World Cup group G campaign against the United States in Natal on Monday, with South Korea taking on Russia in Cuiaba in Group H on Tuesday.
