Low wary of Croatia threat

Germany coach Joachim Low has warned his side that Croatia will be tough opponents as they seek to move towards securing a place in the last eight at Euro 2008.

A 2-0 win over Poland got the German campaign off to a flying start, but Low is expecting a stern test of his side's capabilities in Klagenfurt.

He told reporters: "They're a very refined team, very strong defensively and they also have dangerous players in attack.

"Croatia had a very strong qualifying campaign which says a lot about the strength of the team.

"I'm not thinking about whether we will win the group, we just want to qualify. Our goal is always to win the next match.

"It is true that over the past few months we have become more and more self confident.

"In a number of games, we have proved we are able to put into practice what we have worked on.

"However, this is only the beginning of the tournament. Croatia are a very good team and we will be challenged. They have a number of very good players."
