Low silent on Germany future

Head coach Joachim Low is refusing to discuss his future following Germany's World Cup semi-final defeat to Spain.

Germany lost 1-0 to the European champions in Durban on Wednesday night as an impressive campaign came to a disappointing end.

Low's four-year contract with the German Football Federation will come to an end after Saturday's third-place match against Uruguay and only then with the coach discuss his future plans.

Reports claim Low, who took over from Jurgen Klinsmann after the last World Cup in 2006, will be offered a new long-term contract.

"Any talk about the position will only be spoken about after the World Cup," said Low.

"This team will get stronger over the next two years, irrespective of which coach is in charge."
