Lahm worry for hosts

Germany coach Jurgen Klinsmann is anxiously waiting to discover the severity of Philipp Lahm's elbow injury as he continues his preparations for the World Cup finals.

The Bayern Munich defender suffered the injury when he took a heavy fall during a friendly between the German national team and amateur side Luckenwalde on Tuesday.

Lahm was taken to hospital after the game but an initial examination failed to show whether or not the joint is broken, and he will undergo further tests on Wednesday.

"We cannot give a diagnosis for the time being," Klinsmann said.

Germany won the 60-minute game 7-0, with Bastian Schweinsteiger scoring twice and Gerald Asamoah, Thomas Hitzlsperger, Oliver Neuville, Miroslav Klose and Mike Hanke also on target.
