    Klose not interested in records

    10 Jul 2010 - 11:49:11

Germany striker Miroslav Klose is not thinking about personal goals ahead of Saturday's third-place play-off encounter with Uruguay.

Klose needs just one more goal to equal Brazil striker Ronaldo's record of 15 strikes at World Cup finals.

The 32-year-old Bayern Munich striker is also just one behind the tournament leading five goals of Spain's David Villa and Wesley Sneijder of the Netherlands in the race to be the Golden Shoe winner at the current finals.

However, Klose claims that winning the third-placed play-off against Uruguay in Port Elizabeth is more important than personal records.

"I want to win against Uruguay, even if I don't score, that's still the most important thing," he said.

"I don't know whether I am going to pass Ronaldo's record and I don't really care. I am more interested in what we do as a team."
