Germany forward Lukas Podolski won his 100th cap in Sunday's Euro 2012 match against Denmark with the Germans needing a win to be sure of finishing top of Group B.

The 27-year-old Arsenal-bound forward, who made his debut as a teenager just before Euro 2004, takes his place in Germany's attacking midfield just behind striker Mario Gomez, who has scored three goals in two Euro 2012 games.

Bayer Leverkusen's Lars Bender came in at right-back for Bayern Munich's Jerome Boateng, who was suspended after picking up a yellow card in Wednesday's 2-1 win over Holland.

There was just one change in the Denmark team with Jakob Poulsen in for veteran forward Dennis Rommedahl, who damaged his hamstring in the 3-2 defeat to Portugal.

Brugge midfielder Niki Zimling, who has been nursing a toe injury since the tournament began, was included in coach Morten Olsen's starting line-up.
