Bayern rule out Ribery sale

Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has again insisted that the German champions will not sanction the exit of France star Franck Ribery from the club this summer.

The 25-year-old is preparing for the European Championships in Austria and Switzerland, having helped Bayern to a league and cup double in his first season at the Allianz Arena.

Rummenigge told Bild: "We could have sold Ribery twice by now.

"We have had requests from the Premier League and Spain, but I would rather sell our most precious silverware than him.

"We will not listen to any offer. I have a good relationship with most of my colleagues throughout Europe and if they come to me, the answer will be no way.

"There is no chance, not for any fee."

Ribery scored 14 times in 38 Bundesliga and European outings for Bayern, as well as helping set up a number of goals for leading scorer Luca Toni.
