Sculli delighted by Genoa return
Giuseppe Sculli said he was happy to have rejoined Genoa after an unsuccessful year at Lazio.
The 30-year-old moved to the capital in the last January transfer window as Lazio looked to bolster their squad in a bid to qualify for the Champions Legaue.
However, the forward struggled to secure a regular first team berth and his options became even more limited this season with the arrivals of Miroslav Klose and Djibril Cisse.
"I'm happy to be back, this is my home. I have to thank Lazio for giving me this opportunity," he said.
"This is a challenge for me and I'm going to work hard. Coming back to Genoa is like reliving my first experience here."
Genoa didn't reveal the cost of the deal, which was completed on Wednesday.
Sculli, who began his career at Juventus, although he never played, spent five years at Genoa after first joining in 2006.
Before that he spent several years on loan from Juve to various Serie A and Serie B clubs.
