Inter set to sign Genoa pair

Genoa president Enrico Preziosi has confirmed that his club have agreed the sales of striker Diego Milito and midfielder Thiago Motta to Internazionale.

Preziosi's club have also moved quickly to replace the departing duo, with the Genoa chief stating that deals have been completed that will see Atalanta forward Sergio Floccari and Inter striker Robert Acquafresca join up.

"I met with Inter president Massimo Moratti over breakfast and we agreed a deal," Preziosi told Italian TV.

"It was a painful decision and I thank the players for all they have done for us this season.

"There are some economic and technical parts to the move, but I will only confirm Acquafresca is included.

"If we sell a talented player it's certainly not to put money in our pockets. We are losing two important figures, but bringing in others.

"For example, we have an agreement for Floccari. We had been tracking him for a few months and although he is no spring chicken, I'm sure he will do very well for us."
