• Biography : Melanie Slade is girlfriend of Arsenal and England star Theo Walcott. The 18 year old's rise to fame was fast paced as Walcott was suprisingly selected for the England squad as they headed to Germany for the FIFA world cup 2006, at the tender age of just 17. The press coverage then thrusted girlfriend Slade into the spotlight, allegedly accepting offers from tabloid The Sun for £160,000 to pose topless in an exclusive photo shoot, for which she did produce tasteful photo's. Despite distraction from the British press Slade maintained her studies at St Georges Hospital in London, shunning the WAG lifestyle reportedly claiming that she was excited to meet the England team and their wifes however wanting to keep her feet firmly on the ground.It is rumoured that Slade has future projects in the pipe line including modelling for outdoor clothing specialist Helly Hensen and making an appearance in the new Harry Potter film.
