The club was set up by the vicar of the Holy Trinity church. The clubs first game was against a team called Newton Heath wich have now been reformed and are well known as Machester United. The clubs best performance in the FA trophy was for them reaching the fourth round in 2002/3 but they lost to Forest green rovers.
