Zamora rejects Tigers move
26 Jul 2009 - 16:36:11
Fulham manager Roy Hodgson has confirmed that striker Bobby Zamora has rejected the chance to join Hull City, after the two clubs agreed a £5million deal.
The 28-year-old had been weighing up the offer from the Tigers, but has now opted to remain at Craven Cottage for the time being.
Hodgson told The News of the World: "We allowed Bobby to talk to Hull, but he wants to stay with us and I'm delighted.
"He didn't score many goals last season, but he will this time because he is a very good technician."
Zamora only joined the Cottagers a year ago from West Ham United and scored four goals in 41 appearances in his first campaign with Hodgson's side.
