West Ham United striker Bobby Zamora is close to a first-team return after spending almost six months on the sidelines.
A knee injury has kept the former Brighton and Tottenham forward out of action since the Carling Cup victory at Bristol Rovers in the first month of the campaign.
However, head physiotherapist George Cooper has been very pleased with Zamora's progress with the forward featuring in the reserve team's victory against Birmingham City last week.
Cooper told the Hammers' official website: "He's strong as an ox now.
"His legs are really good and he's in good nick. Bobby's always in early, has been working very hard and been very patient.
"It looks to have paid off. His running fitness is as good as anybody's at the club, if not better."
