West Ham To Pip Birmingham For Konchesky?
West Ham United have emerged as a rival to Birmingham City for Fulham full-back Paul Konchesky, reports the Daily Mirror. Konchesky has just one-year left on his contract at Craven Cottage and wants a new challenge. Birmingham are favourites for his signature, but Barking-born Konchesky would prefer a move back to his former club West Ham, where he played from 2005-07. If the Hammers pip Birmingham to Konchesky it could cause fresh friction between owners David Sullivan and David Gold and their St Andrews successors.
