Vela loan interests Hodgson
02 Aug 2009 - 12:55:09
Reports suggest Fulham boss Roy Hodgson will insist Carlos Vela moves to Craven Cottage on a season-long loan arrangement if Arsenal step up their interest in Brede Hangeland.
Norway international Hangeland is believed to be wanted by Gunners boss Arsene Wenger as a replacement for Kolo Toure, who moved to Manchester City earlier in the week.
Hodgson is keen to keep Hangeland, but admits he may be forced to let him go if Arsenal's offer for the defender is irresistible.
Mexican striker Vela moved to the Emirates Stadium last summer from Osasuna.
The 20-year-old went on to find the net six times in ten starts and 19 substitute appearances for Wenger's side last term.
